Our car - Austin Ascot 1934

A great gift the someone who has everything - birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or special occasions.

The Ascot was first manufactured as the 'Austin Light' in 1934.  The 12/4 was an expensive luxury car - at the time, it cost £405, whilst you could buy a Ford for just £97!  It was one of the larger cars in the Austin range -  at that time, the 'entry point' was the iconic Austin 7, from which one progreesed up via the Austin 8 and Austin 10 to the Austin 12.  Most Austins were named after local towns, and the 12 was given the name 'Ascot'.

The 12/4 is ideal for weddings as the rear passenger doors open to the rear, making photography of the back seat passengers very easy.
